Waukesha Bearings celebrates plant’s fiftieth anniversary

Founded in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a staff of 3 full-time staff. In 2019, the plant expanded to 100,000 sq ft of manufacturing area and now employs a hundred and twenty people. The manufacturing area was added to accommodate production for marine bearing systems and different new projects awarded to the company.
“We are proud of our success and development to turn out to be a provider of precision bearings to a few of the largest multi-national corporations from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” stated Mark Greenlund, plant manager.
To celebrate the 50-year milestone, the corporate is planning an event on the facility for workers and lengthening its outreach to the group to coach them on the career opportunities obtainable on the site. “We are on the lookout for folks within the Antigo community who need to be a part of the next 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” stated Greenlund.
