Thordon Bearings has hired Anthony Hamilton as its new technical director.
Reporting directly to CEO Anna Galon, Hamilton will lead Thordon’s engineering, CAD and new product development groups.
“We are delighted to welcome Tony to the Thordon household as we look to strengthen the company’s product portfolio in present and new markets,” stated Galoni. “Tony is a seasoned solutions-based leader having held senior technical positions in the marine, power, nuclear and manufacturing industries over the past 30 years.”
Hamilton graduated from Ireland’s Munster Technological University in 1985 with a level in marine engineering. After moving to Canada and completing a Masters in Design and Manufacturing Engineering at McMaster University, he spent 10 years at Siemens AG in Hamilton, Ontario, then worked within the nuclear trade with Atomic Energy of Canada and Kinectrics Inc. pressure gauge วัด แรง ดัน น้ำ went on to determine the engineering consultancy Sthenos Consulting.
Hamilton’s appointment is a part of a company-wide restructure at Thordon Bearings that also sees Michael Skrzypczak named international service & assist (GSS) manager.
“For greater than 20 years Skrzypczak has been visiting Thordon Bearings as Lloyd’s Register’s Senior Surveyor within the Ontario area so he is very conversant in our manufacturing, designs and quality management processes,” said Galoni.
“Michael’s understanding and experience with marine methods and shaft bearings might be a useful asset to the Thordon GSS network, which has expanded lately to cover greater than 100 key ports, and shipbuilding and restore hubs all over the world.”
The restructure also includes promotions for Jeffrey Butt to enterprise development supervisor – Navy and Coast Guard; Jason Perry to regional manager – North America; and Yves Silva to regional manager – LATAM. In addition, Danny Caffa has been appointed business development manager – Marine (EMEA); and Heiko Pohland business growth supervisor – Marine (Asia/Pacific).
“I have been working very carefully with my senior management staff to develop and implement Thordon’s strategic aims built around our core strengths and environmental objectives,” mentioned Galoni. “We have made, and can continue to make, considerable investments in people and capital tools to develop our business.”
