Atlas Copco to acquire Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public equity firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used mainly within the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics functions.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing facilities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a global gross sales and repair footprint. The company employs 265 people and had 2020 revenues of roughly €46.4 million.

This acquisition will create a stable foundation for additional progress in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired business will turn out to be part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is anticipated to be completed through the second quarter of 2022 and is topic to regulatory approvals.
