Series one was shot at a Four Seasons resort in Hawaii while series two was set in Italy and, while the vacation spot of series three has not been completely announced, Thailand boasts 4 Four Seasons luxury resorts in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and the Golden Triangle.
Variety journal, a US entertainment publication covering films, television, theatre and music is confident the setting of the next White Lotus collection will be in Thailand after White instructed series three could be more spiritual than the previous two. He said…
“The first season highlighted money, after which the second season is intercourse. I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and humorous take a glance at dying and Eastern religion and spirituality.”
