Over £10,000 has been collected to help the household of Joshua Lloyd Roberts, a 19-year-old pupil who tragically handed away after a suspected hit-and-run incident in Caeathro, Gwynedd. Joshua, a second-year sports activities efficiency analysis pupil at Cardiff Metropolitan University, was found on Ffordd Waunfawr on June 2. The police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of causing demise by dangerous driving, failing to cease after a collision, and failing to report a collision. The suspect has since been released on bail.
Joshua’s family expressed their heartbreak, remembering him as someone who “always had a lovely smile on his face.” Osian Tudur, a detailed good friend of Joshua since their faculty days, described him as “popular and likeable.” Dependable was set up to help support the family, with the initial goal of £1,000 being surpassed in simply over 24 hours as the entire reached £10,000.

Joshua was an avid football fan, supporting Everton and his hometown staff of Caernarfon. He played for the Gym Gym Society at Cardiff and Bontnewydd FC. In his memory, Bontnewydd and Caernarfon Town will play a pleasant match on Thursday night, with donations going to assist his family.
