Royal Thau Police arrested a 27 12 months old lady in Nonthaburi province for her involvement in a fraudulent airline ticket scam. The arrest adopted a warrant issued on April 19 for expenses associated to identification theft, conspiracy to defraud the basic public, and spreading false computer data.
The case began when a victim found a Facebook page named Annemarie Amsden, advertising job alternatives as an airline ticket agent. The victim expressed curiosity within the job and was instructed to speculate 500 baht for reserving three flight tickets. After transferring the amount to an account belonging to Suphawadee Sangkhoy, the suspect deceived the sufferer into transferring extra money several occasions by claiming inadequate funds and system points. In whole, the victim transferred seventy five,358 baht earlier than realising it was a scam and filing a grievance, KhaoSod reported.
Investigations revealed that Suphawadee had been hiding in Nonthaburi province, where she was arrested at a residence in a village. She admitted to opening a checking account for somebody she barely knew, who paid her in trade for the account. However, she claimed to be unaware that the account could be used for fraudulent actions. The suspect was then handed over to the investigating officers on the First Army Region Military Police Unit for further legal proceedings.
In another case 4 days in the past, police apprehended Nirisara, a 23 yr outdated ‘money mule’ operating a rip-off that targeted a 16 year previous pupil from Phichit, who misplaced her complete financial savings while trying to purchase an iPad for her studies.
