KSB Group has won a contract to deliver 14 large submersible motor pumps for flood control in Paraguay.

The KSB pumps will equip numerous pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y control de inundaciones” venture. They might be used to stop future flooding through the high-water season alongside the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The city of Pilar is situated 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. The most circulate fee of each axial move pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump sets are anticipated to be delivered by the tip of this 12 months.
