Amarinth delivers 18m-long pumps for model spanking new Indian FPSO

Amarinth has accomplished a US$1.5 million order from Armada Madura for six API 610 VS4 vertical pumps for a new FPSO being built for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps that are 18m in size and the opposite four are methanol raise pumps that are 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors that have been designed and built alongside the size of the pumps to watch the temperature of each bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank during set up making certain that because the pump is lowered into the tank it remains perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps had been independently witness examined and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps were then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being built.
The pump supply and set up needed to align with the FPSO construct schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they had to be installed into the vessel’s tanks via the deck earlier than another deck above the pumps could be built. The first phase was completed efficiently over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning group supporting the client with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO shall be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 field, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. เกจวัดแรงดันสูง is designed to provide up to 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be equipped to deal with the monsoon situations prevalent on the area.
