In response to current speculation, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon denied meeting with exiled former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra during a go to to England. The deputy PM, a listing MP and leader of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), said that he hadn’t been in touch with the fugitive politician in virtually 20 years.

No strings attached quashed suggestions that the PPRP had been deliberating the nomination of ex-list-MP and previous deputy home speaker, Suchart Tancharoen, as a candidate for the House Speaker position.
Prawit was adamant, saying, the “PPRP has not decided whom it might assist to be the new House Speaker.”
It is thought that if Suchart does run for the place, he is likely to gain help from the Pheu Thai Party and MPs from the present caretaker authorities, reported Bangkok Post.
As the Pheu Thai Party and the MFP vie for management over the Speaker’s chair, Prawit assured that he had no plans of being the model new prime minister within the imminent vote.
