Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s biggest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to buyer demand for bigger manufacturing rates in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a high dry solids content – medium consistency – is crucial for processes within the pulp and paper industry.
In latest years, manufacturing charges have spiralled. As a result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer project with record-breaking values.
The capability of the pump reaches as a lot as 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the circulate as much as 940 l/s and the top up to 180 m. The MCE pump is designed for a pressure score of 25 bar.
Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC equipment at Sulzer, said: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to operate efficiently, saving power, water and chemical costs in pulp and paper mill processes. The progressive design features of the pump minimise its life cycle costs.”
Professional have been dispatched to a significant pulp manufacturer in South America.
