More than 100 soldiers at a camp within the Isaan province Khon Kaen have tested constructive for Covid-19 after trips in the course of the New Year vacation. A doctor from the provincial public well being office says there are now isolation areas set up on the camp to house the infected soldiers.
Reports in Thai media say 124 soldiers on the camp tested positive for Covid-19. Many celebrated with friends to ring in the new year. Restricted did not take a Covid-19 test or self-isolate before going back to camp.
The doctor says many of the contaminated troopers have mild signs and will be treated based on their sicknesses. He added that the local health workplace will tighten measures to stop another Covid cluster like this one..
